You may have noticed that I haven’t posted in a while. I had planned on revamping and relaunching the blog, but found that I had no idea what direction I wanted to go. I still don’t, come to think of it. Consequently, I’m currently putting Apocalypse Mama on hold. The blog will stay up, but as of now there will be no new posts.
You may be wondering about book reviews. If you’re waiting for a book review from me, I have not forgotten you. (Really, I haven’t!) Reviews will either go up on In Case of Survival or on Amazon, depending on what we’ve discussed.
Note that at this time, I am not accepting review requests. I’m also taking a review “sabbatical” for the rest of 2015 (unless I’ve reviewed your work before and we’ve previously communicated personally).
Thanks for everything, guys. I may be back at some point. :)
Okay, there’s really no doom involved. I just think things sound better if “of doom” is tacked on at the end of every sentence. For example: “We need to put on the winter tires…OF DOOM.”
Anyway. I just wanted to pop in to apologize for not having updated in the last bit and to let you know what I have planned for the blog.
No, I’m not shutting it down. But if I’m being honest I’ve flailed around so much in my topic focus that I had considered scrapping the whole thing and starting again. But I won’t. Because I like it (and you guys, if any of you are left after all the flailing).

So I disappeared for a bit (again), and I do apologize for that. My schedule lately has not been conducive to writing, so I haven’t gotten any blogging or reviewing done in the last little bit. Which is unfortunate, since I have a queue. I think I’m going to have to stop reviewing for the foreseeable future. Well, at the very least, I’m going to have to stop accepting books for review. I’ll review everything that’s currently in my queue. If you’re expecting a review from me, it will come. It might just be late.
Like my review of Gary Bloom’s Olympus Union novellas. Which is coming tomorrow, my time. Because it is now nearing midnight, so the post will go live tomorrow, technically.
So yay! Back to back posts from me! Heh.
Last week, my daughters asked me to make up a story instead of reading them a book at bedtime. Just for something different, and because we’d just watched the Adam Sandler movie Bedtime Stories. Since I’d already been chasing plot bunnies around (I’m planning on submitting a story to a winter anthology), I agreed. So I wrangled a plot bunny and put a story together for them.
Of course, since it was me telling this tale, I told them a story about an alien who lands on Earth because he was running away from bad aliens and dresses up as Santa to blend in. (He landed on Earth sometime around Christmas. I mean, winter/seasonal anthology, right? :P)
